Wicks Estate 2019 Pinot Noir, $25
Pinot Noir is having its time in the sun as Aussies discover the joys of drinking lighter reds instead of the big bold reds that have long been popular. The Adelaide Hills does Pinot well and we’re very taken with this one from Wicks, which is light and bright but still with plenty of interest and complexity. Redolent of bright red fruits, its cherry, raspberry and plum notes are balanced by soft, smooth tannins, making this a very approachable, easy-to-drink drop.
