Wednesday Wine Pick, Christine Salins Wine Reviews.Wine Glass GreenTopper’s Mountain 2014 Bricolage Blanc, $35

Bricolage is a French word for “tinkering” ie. something made from whatever materials you have at hand. The tinkering has more than paid off with this exciting wine, the 2014 vintage of which is the second release for vigneron Mark Kirkby and winemaker Mike Hayes. They aim to produce the best white blend they can each vintage, this time drawing on Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Viognier and a touch of barrel-aged Sauvignon Blanc. The result is a fresh fruit salad blend with a hint of Turkish Delight. We enjoyed it with antipasto but I can think of endless possibilities in summer.
