Rymill The Yearling 2017 Rosé, $16
A good crisp Rosé is so perfectly suited to our outdoor lifestyle and many consumers seem to think so too as it’s one of the fastest growing sectors of the wine industry. Coonawarra winery Rymill has entered the market with this really enticing Rosé made from its own estate-grown Merlot. It’s only the second release of this wine after a small, trial number of the 2016 vintage was made. Sadly, winemaker Sandrine Gimon is no longer with the company after a change of ownership. What a legacy she has left though with this fun, lively Rosé, quite pale in colour, with a savoury, dry finish. Enjoy it with or trout, or with spicy or barbecued dishes while the weather is still Rosé-friendly.
