La La Land 2018 Pinot Gris, $18
I have to say that a lot of Pinot Gris doesn’t resonate with me, but I do like this one from La La Land, which comes from the warmer climes of Mildura in north-west Victoria. Winemaker Aidan Menzies puts a lot of effort into producing a range that is eminently drinkable and has a bit of style and flair. This one has vibrant flavours of citrus and nashi pear, and we liked it a lot with seafood and summer salads. All the La La Land wines are certified vegan friendly, if that’s a consideration for you.
