Di Giorgio Family 2014 Coonawarra Emporio, $26
Three generations of Coonawarra’s Di Georgio family tended three varieties of grape to produce this seductive blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. A gentle, easy-drinking wine with blackberry and cinnamon notes, we enjoyed it immensely with spaghetti Bolognese. The lovely, sweet fruit would complement any tomato-based dish beautifully.
