Di Giorgio 2016 Coonawarra Emporio, $29
This is Di Giorgio’s take on a Bordeaux blend with nearly half of it Merlot, about a third of it Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc to round it out. This Coonawarra producer does some smart stuff and this is one of its smartest. With seductive blackberry and vanilla notes, it is drinking beautifully now but also invites you to put some away for happy drinking down the track.
