Chinese New Year Rabbits in Customs House Square

Gong Xi Fa Cai. Happy new year (in Mandarin). These rabbits mastering tai chi in Customs House Square are one of the highlights of Sydney’s Chinese New Year celebrations. Lanterns representing the 12 lunar zodiac signs have been placed in iconic locations around Sydney, including a 6-metre high dragon beneath the Harbour Bridge and three wise monkeys on the steps of the Sydney Opera House. They’re truly a sight to behold.
