We had a lovely weekend touring the highways and byways of country New South Wales. At the invitation of Hilltops Harvest, we headed to Young for their annual wine dinner. On the way to and fro, we stopped for a Devonshire tea at the Black Swan in Binalong, checked out some of the shops in historic Murrumburrah and bought fresh eggs from a roadside stall. The sun was shining, the paddocks were lush, there were lots of spring lambs playing about, and blossoms were already starting to appear. Life is sweet. Here are some snapshots from our weekend in the country.
Must put Devonshire Tea at the Black Swan on our list of must-do’s for when we next visit the area, Christine. We saw it on the way home, but our bellies were so full. A lovely post.
Gorgeous pictures! there’s really nothing more romantic than a vineyard…
Thanks Tanya. Glad you enjoyed the post.
Lovely that spring came early for your weekend in the country. Sadly it has disappeared again to be replaced by chilly wet weather, sigh
