The Noosa Chocolate Factory’s new, larger café space in Brisbane’s CBD is like a sanctuary on the always bustling Adelaide Street. It’s long been a favourite for office workers looking for a good coffee and a sweet treat for that 3pm slump, but its recent expansion including a dedicated dine-in space means you can go in and enjoy a break from the city rush.
The Noosa Chocolate Factory has always focused on local Queensland flavours and ingredients, bringing a taste of the Sunshine Coast to the city. You’ll see some very Queensland flavours, like mango, macadamia and ginger in their chocolates, but they’re also very well known for their rocky road. They’re focused on using natural, ethical ingredients, and local where possible.
All their chocolates are still handcrafted at their factory in Noosa, as they have been since 2009, and are distributed to their stores around southeast Queensland. They recently launched an online shopping and delivery option for a 10 kilometre radius around their stores, so you know you’re always getting fresh, high-quality products, something their General Manager, Nick Southon, is very passionate about.
The expanded store on Adelaide Street is a lovely space with more room to house a bigger range of chocolates, so you’ll find it hard to stop at just one! And of course it has the space for visitors to sit down and enjoy a coffee or one of their signature hot chocolates, which you know is going to be good. I’d highly recommend pairing either with the chocolate-coated macadamia brittle – my new personal favourite!
The expansion of the Adelaide Street store further strengthens Noosa Chocolate Factory’s retail footprint in Brisbane, following its opening of a new Brisbane Arcade store in late 2024.
