Bring a picnic rug and settle back to watch an outdoor movie at Moonlight Cinema’s new home in Roma Street Parkland. A great location for those wanting to use public transport, the Amphitheatre at Roma Street Parkland has enabled Moonlight Cinema to provide Brisbane with a more extensive four-month-long season of blockbuster films.
The program runs until March 31 and will include advanced screenings, new releases and popular favourites. Among the movies on offer are The Favourite, Mary Queen of Scots, Second Act, Bohemian Rhapsody, A Star is Born, Bumblebee, Crazy Rich Asians, Boy Erased and Ladies in Black.
Tickets are on sale at www.moonlight.com.au where you’ll also find the December/January program jam-packed with eight advanced screenings, over 25 new releases and some old classics. Check back later for the February and March programs.
The season launched recently with Instant Family, a comedy about a couple trying their hand at parenthood through foster care adoption. In the lead-up to Christmas, some new and beloved Christmas flicks are being screened. There are discounts on Family Saver Passes to select G and PG rated films, and there’s also a Gold Grass section with reserved bean beds in a premium viewing location with wait service.
You are welcome to bring a picnic to Moonlight Cinema but note that BYO alcohol is not allowed. There is a food truck onsite with a licensed bar.
Enjoy the summer vibes! Moonlight Cinema is offering similar programs in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.
