Campari and a recipe for Negroni cocktail
The new bottle design for Campari. Enjoy aperitivo with this classic Negroni cocktail recipe.

Milan claims to be the birthplace of aperitivo, the fabulous Italian ritual of pre-dinner drinks and appetizers, so it’s fitting that the new design for Campari is inspired by this northern Italian city.

Campari was born in Milan/Milano, the brand having a shared history with the city dating back to 1860. Campari is celebrating this bond with its new bottle design reflecting the sleek fashion and contemporary design that the city is known for.

A visual homage to Milano, the design has an understated elegance. Tapered modern lines lead the eye to the city’s name in the center of the bottle, symbolizing the journey of the aperitivo ritual from Milano to the rest of the world. (It’s even reached all the way to our humble abode, where we regularly partake in aperitivo!)

Milano is a haven for creative souls from the world of design and art, and Campari has found the city to be a perfect ally: a combination of modern and historical, classical and pioneering, entrepreneurial and enjoyable, reflecting the spirit’s essence.

Campari Australia is showcasing the new design at the 24th Biennale of Sydney, the largest contemporary art event of its kind in Australia. This is Campari’s third year as official aperitif partner of the Biennale, which continues until June 10.

At the main exhibition at White Bay Power Station (which incidentally is the first time the power station has been opened to the public in more than 100 years), Campari is being served in a range of cocktails including Negroni, Campari Spritz and Campari Soda.
