One of the world’s most popular spirits, Bacardí was created in 1862 in the city of Santiago de Cuba by Don Facundo Bacardí Massó. His creation of a smooth-tasting light-bodied rum revolutionized the spirits industry. It inspired cocktail pioneers to invent some of the world’s most famous recipes including the Mojito, Daiquiri, Cuba Libre, Piña Colada and El Presidente.
Today, Bacardí rum is made mainly in Puerto Rico where it is crafted to ensure the taste remains the same today as it did when it was first blended in 1862. Two delicious new flavours were recently added to the Bacardí portfolio: Coconut and Raspberry.
They are the perfect base for Piña Colada, Mojito, Daiquiri and other classic rum cocktails, or you can simply enjoy them with soda or another mixer of your choice. Have fun coming up with your own creations or enjoy these two easy cocktail recipes.
