If you’re up for one last taste of the snow this season, head to Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa this Friday, September 28, where brewmaster Chuck Hahn (above; photo supplied) will be hosting a four-course beer dinner.

Then menu features seven beers with dishes from the resort’s executive chef, Greg Pieper, kicking off with a selection of canapés including chicken liver blueberry parfait, pear and mini lamb pies coupled with the local Kosciuszko Pale Ale.

That will be followed by an entree of sweet pork cheeks with Queensland scallops, William pear and scallop cream, served with Hahn Premium Lager and Knappstein Reserve Lager.

The main dish is a 6+ wagyu sirloin with turnip puree, spinach cream, mini beef pie and red wine jus, served with James Squire Nine Tales Amber Ale and Stowaway IPA.

For dessert, expect chocolate delice, pistachio paste and raspberry with James Squire Jack of Spades Porter and New Norcia Abbey Ale.

Wines matching each course will also be offered.  Tickets are $75 per person.

Bookings can be made at www.lakecrackenback.com.au or by calling 1800 020 524 or (02) 6451 3000.

Accommodation packages starting from $266 per person are available.  The package includes two nights accommodation in a two-bedroom lakeview apartment (quad share), hot breakfast on each morning of your stay, a $100 credit to use for normal dining at either Cuisine on Lake Crackenback Restaurant & Bar or the new Alpine Larder (can’t be used towards the special beer dinner), complimentary use of resort facilities, a 10 percent discount off equipment from Harro’s on-site ski hire and complimentary shuttle bus timetabled transfers to the Skitube.
