There’s a lot that we like about Butcher Baker Coffeemaker but one of the best things is its generous provision of water. The Woody Point café has a chilled water fountain where customers can help themselves to either sparkling or still water, a feature that we’d love to see replicated in other cafés.
The coffee is some of the best we’ve had on Redcliffe Peninsula (and we’ve tried a few!) It’s a friendly little café with indoor tables, as well as a couple of small tables with metal stools on the footpath, and an alley down the side of the building that has been prettied up with greenery and decorative features.
The café overlooks the Esplanade so it has a pleasant outlook over Moreton Bay and captures some of the sea breezes. It offers an all-day breakfast menu with bagels, smashed avo, coconut bircher muesli, waffles, granola and other dishes. We’ve enjoyed the banana bread with espresso butter, which was a nice twist from regular butter.
For lunch, there are burgers, salads, toasties, more smashed avo (of course), beef brisket sandwich, etc. There are a couple of dishes especially for kids, good gluten-free options, and some nice quality sodas and cold-pressed juices. In winter, they provide blankets to keep their guests warm, another thoughtful touch.

Next time I visit! (Minus the banana bread for me)
I’ve been to ‘Butcher, Baker etc’ and have to agree with your wrap up of it. I’m looking forward to returning.
One of our favourites!
